Viagra is an effective treatment for male impotence (erectile dysfunction) regardless of the cause or duration of the problem or the patient’s age. Warnings/Precautions

Don’t take Viagra in case you are using any of the following medications:
- cimetidine (Tagamet, Tagamet HB);
- HIV medicines such as tipranavir (Aptivus), amprenavir (Agenerase), darunavir (Prezista), efavirenz (Sustiva), saquinavir (Invirase, nevirapine (Viramune), lopinavir/ritonavir (Kaletra),indinavir (Crixivan), fosamprenavir (Lexiva), ritonavir (Norvir), Fortovase), atazanavir (Reyataz), or nelfinavir (Viracept);
- prazosin (Minipress), doxazosin (Cardura), Terazosin (Hytrin);
- rifabutin (Mycobutin) or rifampin (Rifadin, Rimactane);
- an antifungal medication such as ketoconazole (Nizoral) or itraconazole (Sporanox);
- an antibiotic such as erythromycin (Eryc, E-Mycin, Ery-Tab) or clarithromycin (Biaxin);
- a blood thinner such as warfarin (Coumadin);
- phenobarbital (Luminal), carbamazepine (Tegretol), or phenytoin (Dilantin); or
- bosentan (Tracleer).
Having serious heart problems, heart failure, high or low blood pressure, or unstable angina don’t take Viagra. Advice your doctor on Viagra intake, if you had a stroke, heart attack, or serious heart irregularities within the last 6 months.
Please consume Viagra with caution if you have genital problem or deformity such as Peyronie's disease, sickle cell anemia, leukemia, multiple myeloma, bleeding disorder, a stomach ulcer, or the inherited eye condition called retinitis pigmentosa. It is not normal if an erection lasts more than 4 hours, please address for medical help at once.
Possible Side Effects
The following side effects are possible in the course of Viagra intake: stuffy nose, headache, upset stomach or back pain, warmth or redness in your face, neck, or chest, nausea, sweating, general ill feeling, irregular heartbeat, swelling in your hands, ankles, or feet, shortness of breath, sudden vision loss, ringing in your ears, sudden hearing loss, chest pain or heavy feeling, pain spreading to the arm or shoulder, feeling light-headed, fainting, penis erection that is painful or lasts 4 hours or longer. In such cases a patient must stop Viagra intake and address medical help or his health care provider.
